Damn. They sent the entire department to that call. Everyone in that video seemed to be an idiot. The cop seemed like the drunkest one in the video with his bad judgement.

My grandfather and uncle were both cops. I have a healthy enough respect for the badge.
These cops come across as borderline illiterate. I have to believe Tuscaloosa PD will be letting them go soon enough.

If that cop was that worried about his safety he should have waited for back up. He didn't want to have his authority challenged by drunk frat boys, his ego led to the escalation of the situation.

Police do not need a warrant if they have probable cause which is why the video of when he first gets there is needed to understand the entire situation. Did he have probable cause to detained him and if so once the kid resisted he broke the law and will be arrested along with anyone else that was evolved.

It seems like the arrest happened because the police officer believes he was grabbed unnecessarily by the guy he ended up arresting. As for the female I have no idea why she was arrested. She may have done something before the cameras started rolling but she seemed very distraught and confused as to why she was being handcuffed by the arresting officers.
