Edit: has no hobbies, while I avidly hunt and fish. This has caused me to have many deer hunts where I said "shhhhhhuuutttttuppppppp" and "shhhhhhhh" a thousand times.

Sounds like he's a good dad. I hope to one day have some little bitch on here crying about how he doesn't stack up to me too. I will have done my job. My wife and her dads relationship is strained to say the least and it's my job to make sure that shite doesn't happen with me and my daughter.

i think it's like the old school of the love languages.
i don't know if i buy into all that, but it's been her advice before. just another perspective on the topic.

You've completely missed the point.
She has romance movie/book expectations. Apparently because her parents had a perfect relationship.
Showed up to drop of the groceries. Dinner was completely ready. Dodged that only because it's my fathers birthday.
This gets crazier everytime

Update:
Can't believe I didn't think to not try to have a conversation on a car ride.
Explained how I did not appreciate comparisons, how I respected her father and his relationship with his family.
But said that our relationship is not her parents, no matter how perfect it is (her words). How we had different up bringings and would likely have different opinions and that I believe it is crucial to work these out in an appropriate manner.
I was promptly shut down, and told her parents relationship is how she wants hers. That's her goal. Then questioned why I was trying to put her parents down when "I don't even know them".. 2 year relationship..
Now riding in silence. 3 more hours.
Eta. Whoever claims im not man enough, complaining, etc. I think you would be tired of dealing with this too. So kindly frick off and stay off my thread. I've surprisingly gotten useful information here and I really appreciate it.
