Or you could act married and decide if you don't like it it's a hell of a lot easier to stop acting married than getting divorced. A lot of times it's not a good idea to move in with a SO, but if marriage is a serious option in the future then I don't see a problem with it. If you move in with your SO after dating freshman year in college then yeah I get your point.

I.read the first 7 pages. A few thoughts:
You and this female clearly aren't compatible for marriage. These issues won't change even if her dad dies it won't go away.

Oh I get where he's coming from. I wouldn't say she's effectively communicating cause it's causing a problem. SHE needs to decide if he is up to her standards. If he is, then make him the #1 man in her life. If not, she needs to move on.
Let's be real - they both have visions of what a relationship is supposed to be. Right now those visions aren't compatible so they either both need to get to working on fixing it or either needs to get to walking. It's been two years, they know who each other are, and if they are willing/able to get to work.

Sounds like you're thinking way too much about this shite. I had a relationship like this once. Eventually I grew up.
I hate to tell you this, but it's probably doomed.
