I've gotten picked 3 times since I started college. They went to my parent's house, so I've never actually served

A little, actually.
Nothing to be concerned about .... but I was drafted, served 2 years in the Army and back home ready for jury duty when I was your age.

I lived in Livingston Parish for fifteen years. I was mailed that I was on jury duty five times. My neighbors lived in that Parish all of their lives and were never called. I had to serve on the jury for the black guy that ran over the pizza delivery boy in Albany. During his trial, he stared threatening stares at us. Most of us stared back at him and we found him guilty. I just couldn't believe that he went to high school with the guy he killed. How many of you want to bet that he found Jesus while at Angola? Why didn't he find Jesus before he took a life? I'm a firm believer of the death penalty but I believe that the guilty ones should be put to death in the same way as they killed their victims. That girl at the old Calendars was pleading for her life before that animal killed her. I wished that I never watched the news and heard her pleading for her life. I'm 64 and went to high school with her aunt. Guzzardo is a big name in Independence and Amite. Since I moved to Bama I never registered as a voter. I'm not going through that crap ever again. For those of you that call me a wuss, but yourselves in the position that you decide a person's fate. If he receives the death penalty then his blood is on your hands. I've heard it all and I was sick of it. I'll never register to vote ever again.

I don't remember my exact age when picked the first time, but I think around your age. It's not that big a deal, just be absolutely sure you aren't late. I saw a judge really let someone have it once for that. He said there are no excuses. I was picked once and had to make some decisions, but all you have to do is be honest about what you think. It isn't bad; it's interesting actually.

In BR, they also pull from DMV records. I learned that when looking at the court's web site after I got called for the first time. They called around 300 people but sent everyone home by the third day. Naturally, I was made to stick around until the very end. If they do this every week, it must cost a small fortune.
