i thought the guy they had the warrant for was arrested at a different location (possibly before this raid)

the guy at her apartment was a different person who wasn't on the warrant, right?

If I shoot at police and my wife next to me is killed, is that their fault?

this case is an indictment of the structural issues in the system. when cops can be this bad at their jobs and create a dangerous situation where it wasn't needed or justified and get away without ANY criminal charges? while likely intentionally obstructing the evidence? it shows the system needs a complete overhaul

very well said.... unfortunately, many here won't admit to this being true, because this case is wrapped up in racial packaging, but at the heart of it, just as a citizen and human being in the US, you HAVE to acknowledge the truth of this situation, like you've laid out with this post...

You were there? Did the LEO know who was shooting at him?

this statement is only true because our criminal justice system is systematically corrupt and completely slanted to protect LEO and prosecutors

Bring me some injustices to people who aren’t criminals or find themselves in the company of criminals. Then I’ll listen to your argument.

My Bible says death and destruction finds those who keep company with wicked people. Sounds like the Bible and it’s wisdom is correct once again.

Correct. Her current boyfriend, Kenneth Walker (with no record BTW). Glover, the drug dealer in question, was her ex boyfriend who had previously lived with her.

That's pretty unconstitutional of you there, bud.

Being in the company of a criminal isn't an automatic death sentence. Or we'd have some folks in this very forum who would be dead due to their kids/family members.

this reminds me of the Houston shootout thread

the EXACT same arguments were going on in that thread

the only difference was that those cops were so dirty for so long, it finally caught up to them. sadly, we'll never know the true toll of those cops, because, again, the system is slanted in their favor (and the institutions around LEO don't want the public to know how widespread their..issues, are)

Maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't be hanging out with someone who does shoot at police. Maybe you won't be hit by crossfire. Maybe.

how about us, as taxpaying citizens... complete background checks, complete mental fitness evals, higher minimum threshold (with higher pay, of course), are just some of the ways to weed out bad candidates, who in turn, become bad police officers... not necessarily racist or hateful, just dually unfit and bad at their jobs....
