I'm actually doing German volume training for about three months. Just started yesterday.

Back squat 10x10 (185) 60-90 seconds rest in between sets.

I have stayed away from challenges so far as this is my first time back in the gym this year for over a decade. I'm committed to running the core program for 12 cycles which will take me to the holiday season. I am doing BBB for Bench press only (adding 5x10 @50% of TM after the 3 working sets of heavy work)

Not so bad for bench. But for legs and back it can suck

I have bad ankles.

Makes too much squatting tough. Still get it in twice a week currently though.

But I am also running right now....so probbqaly hold off on GVt and might give it a go at the new year.

I can squat 2-4 times a week just as long as I vary the exercise. Usually back squats, front, then zercher squats

I only do front and back squats.

usually do back squats for low reps high weight, and then use the front squats for explosiveness, reps, etc.

Yeah I use front to make my quads grow.

For explosiveness ill use jump squats with only about 95-115 pounds

Yeah. I was just doing what worked for me. But yeah if you have ankle issues that's the last thing you want to do.

I try and do front squats for 10-15 reps and A2G for explosiveness. that and box DLs. Damn those things are tough.

But Ive been plateaued at 430 with squats for like 3 weeks now. Would like to get them going again, but just cant seem to figure out where the hole is.

Gonna bookmark. Need inspiration with the amount of laziness that has crept up on me.

Have you tried backing off the weight then working back up?

I'd back off and do a few weeks of box squatting. You're probably having trouble comin out the hole.

Or maybe speed squats with chains?

I don't know your program, so I'm assuming you're doing something akin to linear progression. If you're stuck at 430, try backing off to something like 405, and slowly work your way back up. Like 5lbs a week.

I use a conjugate program.

It isnt linear but not far off it either.

Maybe i will drop back and start again to see what happens.

I have no problem banging out 7/8 at 365 and none with 2/3 at 405. That rep or two at 430 just isnt going.
