Many thanks to all of you who have reached out to me; a tornado produced damage at our home today. My wife was home when it hit, but she got the warning, was in our in-home shelter, and is fine. While we lost many trees, the home is intact and we will be not have to "rebuild".
Please consider helping others across the state who have much more serious damage... some lost their homes and are homeless tonight.
Thanks again for your kindness.

That warning Southeast of Nashville has looked nasty for a while now.

My nerves are shot after this.
Very near miss on our house in pelham and a hit on our rental home in Helena, again nearly within a year from the last.
My dad was a couple hundred yards from the one today. It basically perfectly threaded the needle so that none of our friends and family were hit. Feel bad that is a relief looking at all of the damage.
Prayers to all who weren't so lucky.

Shew boy, the radar indicated tornado missed us to the north by 2 miles. Looking like it hit the Nashville Super speedway. Had the wife and dog in the hall closet. arse was puckered

If you want to see the damage that the storms did to Alabama you need to go to ACCUWEATHER.com. My prayers are for the people who are suffering tonight.

That is my biggest fear. My dad and I were nearly killed during Sally when an oak tree can crashing through our den.

The storm over Clanton is a mean one. May not get tornado warned, but it will have some serious wind. Maybe hail.

I think it's about to go tornado.

That Northern storm moving into Boaz is moving at around 90mph!

I think that would qualify as a hook.

Yikes. Got a v-notch to go with that hook. Classic supercell.
