This is why you don't get in fights. One punch too many and you're life is ruined. They hit their head weird on the ground and you're life is ruined.
Just not worth it.

I'm sure he'll plea down and get 20 years or something. Still a life ruiner.

there is nothing "good" about getting in fights.
Anyone that accepts fighting as part of their day to day acceptable life is a trashball.

I agree. But in high school and somewhat in college, it wasn't an unusual thing. I just think about how lucky all of my friends are that no one ever got seriously hurt or killed.
shite, I've been knocked out a couple times so I'm lucky its not me that hit their head the wrong way or something.
Obviously, since I've matured I see how fricking stupid fighting is. Can't remember the last time I got in one. It would take a self-defense or family-defense scenario for me to ever get in one again.

I was a dumbass in college....like even more than I am now.
And in my most fricked up state I knew that a fight could go 2 ways:
- I get my arse kicked and I'm not getting any split tail that night
- I kick some arse and likely go to jail and not getting any split tail that night

I doubt this guy just murdered a man in cold blood for no reason. I also doubt that in a self defense scenario this old man was beaten to death. Maybe the old man stole his wallet and this guy was hammered and went nuts on him.. who knows.
The details will be everything in this case. Hopefully the eye witnesses can provide clarity.
