I truly don't know why this board has a hard on for the coach.

The “board” doesn’t have a hard on for the coach.

Only a few low IQ posters do.

The majority of posters realize what a freak situation led to this event.

The parents of the kids aren’t even upset with the coach.

He put them in that position.. regardless if by negligence, he is still responsible for all their safety.

So are their parent who let them go. Just a good thing gone bad.

Forgive my ignorance please but does anyone else not really understand how someone putting out oxygen tanks runs out of oxygen? Talking about the SEAL that died in there a few days ago of course. I guess the only way I could see is if he gets stuck under water but seems like there are places in there he could have changed his tank out.

I think he was one of the first to go down and apparently left the other tanks for the boys and he underestimated the time it took to travel to down and back.

That makes sense. Really an ironic way to go. Something tells me he would be content with it as he was helping others like I assume any rescue divers main objective is.

The guy who did the AMA yesterday said the SEAL who died was retired and doing airport checks before he volunteered. Said he just got exhausted and used up all his oxygen. I would bet any environment other than a cave and he would have been ok.

Also false report on the coach coming out.

Had he been the last to leave then I would absolutely have some over-the-top praise.

Get ready to sing his praises, you dipshit. The coach is still in the cave. Why don't you try actually reading the thread and the links before you post.

NBC reported that when the water was at its highest it took 5 hours to get out. Once they pumped some of the water out it was 2 1/2 hours.

It’s nearly 1pm in Thailand.

There should be an update on how things are going today.

The Guardian reported they usually get press briefings at 10am but as of noon there still had been no word from the head of the operation.

I just read an update on CBS that said rescue attempts to resume this afternoon.

Hopefully a few more may be out in a couple of hours.

The mission to extricate the Thai boys and their coach from the cave has resumed, according to a Thai navy official with knowledge of the operation. The navy officer told CNN: “The operation has begun and it is ongoing at the moment.” He added the same set of divers as yesterday have gone into the cave.
