I mean the age of the crusades/time period doesn't detract from the impact and negative stigma it has to non-believers.
Bringing up it's relevance to the discussion based on the time period it occurred in is a strawman. That's all that I was pointing out.
200 years into the future, jihadism is going to be brought up in history class in our current modern area as a detractor of the west adopting Islam on a wider scale. Same principal.

It's still being rammed down the throats of students in secular universities and in "woke" circles as ways to detract from Christianity.

But do they need to? Anyone, at this point, is willing to shite on the church and are willing to remain as ignorant as possible within the process.
I've heard so many bullshite statistics and stories discrediting my catholic faith throughout my lifetime that I could write 3 novels about it.
Point still stands: non-secular assholes use the crusades, even with falsified information, to discredit the church. The time period has nothing to do with it.
