Didn't that used to be the "wealthiest" black county in the country?

You had me until here.

I know plenty of well raised adults that weren’t actively in church. It’s really just about teaching your children morals, which doesn’t require religion.

Not saying being in a Christian family is necessarily bad. Only that it is unreasonable to expect everyone to be Christian. And it doesn’t mean your kids will be gang bangers if you aren’t regularly in church.

I am personally an example of this as well.

Its about values.

Too many parents are far too permissive. Values give your kids a code to live by, morals are just rules.

Social clubs including churches, mosques synagogues are a positive for most families as well.

Their midnight basketball game must've been cancelled or something... need more programs and money in the community cause its totally not an issue with black culture and lack of any good role models at home..

Can't be just blacks- they only make up 14% of the population!

Then figure in the smaller percentage of males 25-35 who commit crime, it’s more like 5/6% of the population. Tops.

I will argue that. Iceland is the least violent country, New Zealand #2, and they both have more out-of-wedlock births than the U.S. Japan is in the top 10, and they have virtually no Christians. Most of the top 10 safest countries have less than a 1% black population. One could argue that perhaps they are also more affluent, and maybe more indigenous, and the racial makeup is not a major factor. It does not seem that Christianity, or even religion plays a major role.

It doesn't. It is just part of Christians "holier than art thou" mentality.

Also it is a way for them to subtley shift blame to others.

It doesnt have to be religion. Strong social cohesion with strong values is a positive for any group.

"Existentialism" is a dead end street. Youre here to create humans and pass down good genes.

At least the people claiming systemic racism do have some data, facts, and figures to back them up.

The people claiming Christianity is the key to reducing crime have no such data. Actually the data proves the opposite. Japan has something like 1% Christianity and has much lower rates of violent crime than the US which has one of the highest percentages of Christian populations.

Also, ever heard of the crusades? What do you think those did for violent crime statistics?

Wrong. They admit data doesn't back up their theories. They rely on interpretation or anti positivism.

quote:

In social science, antipositivism (also interpretivism, negativism or antinaturalism) is a theoretical stance that proposes that the social realm cannot be studied with the methods of investigation utilized within the natural sciences, and that investigation of the social realm requires a different epistemology.

A thousand years ago, sure.

Government has killed more people than religion. Hell, communism in the 20th century will never be caught.

The all-mighty "they".

As if everyone has the same definition of how systemic racism manifests. I see it the same way as generational wealth and generational poverty manifest.

It doesn't even have to be intentional (if you are gonna argue all races were slaves)

Even if you pressed a magic button and made all racism cease to exist, black people would still be behind the curve in levels of wealth

What you are referring to I believe is moral upbringing which I believe Christianity provides.

If you were up on your social science and philosophy, slick you would understand anti positivity.

All marxism is drawn from these fairy tales. They require no evidence, only interpretation.

Your beliefs have no validity.

Ive never studied marxism. I have studied economics though and understand that wealthy parents produce wealthier children while poor parents produce a higher percentage of broke children. This is all readily available information if you don't believe it. Upward mobility and downward mobility exist but by and large people stay where they are born.
