Of course this is going to be the narrative... because combat is the factor that makes someone shoot up a bar or school.

Frick California and their stupid policies.

Yep. Saying Marine with minimal interactions with LEO. Biggest was last year.

He was team Glock and had extended magazines. Or magazine.

The news conference just reported he bought the gun legally

They also reported the crisis unit had just visited his home in April and evaluated him and didn’t find any reason to commit him

I thought the extended mags were illegal in CA? I suppose there's nothing stopping you from going to Nevada and buying them though.

All I know it doesn’t fricking matter who did it, just that it happened, there are victims and families torn apart.

This I agree with. And like you I have no daily experience with it, because I didn't grow up in the inner city, or any area where gun violence is a norm. The problem I have is, it's not just the OT that wants to turn this into a race thing. The national media focuses on it. More often than not, the mass shootings are white males, and that is all they are focusing on. That and the ease of access to guns in this country. I don't have any idea how to stop this either. Our culture has jumped the broom in regards to this type of thing happening all the time. People who are f'd in the head know the best way to cause as much damage as possible is to kill a large number of people in a short amount of time. I am all for conversations about what to do. At all levels, especially the media, want to focus on who done it and why. Then like idiots on the left want to add to their collection of scalps, want to blame this on angry white men. The narrative is picking up. People in power and influence do not want to focus on fixing the issue. Dumping more money into impoverished areas doesn't help, and all they want to do is blame people and point and say, xyz is the cause of all your problems. Rarely do they want to take any responsibility for anything. We just have to face it, in every facet, every state, every county, our culture is just extremely fricked up. And currently there are no answers to fix it.

Hey said was that he bought the gun legally. Didn’t say anything about the mags. California a legal mag is only designed to carry 10 bullets and one in the chamber

Witness said (according to sheriff) that several off duty police officers at the bar stood in front of her daughter during the shooting

AR-15 or a handgun?

to me it doesn't, but obviously one is more accurate and causes more damage. But dead is dead if you are a victim. So in that instance I don't care what kind of gun is used.

In many places, "extended magazines" are anything more than a 7 round 1911 mag.

He just did. He did not know how many rounds but stated it was over the 10+1.

The .45 would cause more damage than 5.56 in close range like that. Especially if he has using hollow points of some sort.
