close to the max for simple burglary when the burglary was just attempted?

the parish is lucky they got him to plea on a felony. Even with the conditions that it is counted as a misdemeanor after two years. A really good lawyer could have had much of the charges tossed.

"So my client had tools on him? So my client was in a dark ally Do you have proof my client attempted to enter the building other than the location found and the tools produced?"

I don't blame the judge.

I blame the perp, obviously he is a stupid moron and deserves to die.

Crime in Kenner has actually been falling. The Kenner PD hasn't let up and Hispanics have slowly been replacing blacks in central part of the city.

Not about morals with the law. A lawyer has a obligation to his client to provide the best service he can and to win the case.

Have you ever seen Devil's Advocate? Not a great movie, but the lawyer knew he was going to win, and knew his client was guilty, so he quit knowing he would be disbarred.

You hire a lawyer, you want him to win. Same thing with prosecution, they don't care if you are really innocent or guilty, their job is to win their case with what they are given.
It's not about right and wrong, it's that everyone in this country is granted the RIGHT to a fair trial. Just like you probably enjoy the right to bear arms, and free speech, this is another right our forefathers bestowed upon us.

Saying the only difference between black and white people is their skin color is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard and also one of the main reasons that the racial divide is so bad these days.

Sounds to me like someone knows the killer and his motive.

The judicial system in America is a joke and not even close to the norms and mores of the founding fathers or even that of most of American history prior to World War II.

Once upon a time rational white men sat on juries, now they are packed with the most ignorant that can be found.

The Supreme Court and Federal Government have systematically destroyed the ability of local communities to enforce order in their towns and parishes. And the media have sold us on bullshite rights of criminals that never before have existed.

thank you. This is all so senseless and sad. The low value that some people put on life is frightening.

I thought so too, but it is pretty safe. You never see hoodlums walking the streets late at night because they stop everyone.
