I think its becasue for all the financial/economic minuta that goes into policy, the sticky part of inflation is the common story.
Everyone knows theres inflation, so you can keep raising prices some and people will pay it. Cuz we all know inflation is happening.
In other words, i think its people responding to inflation that keeps it going longer more so than the policies that start the initial wave of it.
