Unpaid parking ticket in NOLA

Totally forgot about a parking ticket I got a few months ago. The fines for being late are up to like $400 if I’m reading it correctly. Pretty ridiculous. Do I have any course of action other than just paying the $400?

Go in and talk to them. They have excused a lot of late fees in the past.
Or wait until next August when they have the fee forgiveness time.
$400 seems like a whole lot for a simple parking ticket.

EVery now and then they do a ticket forgiveness. They forgive the late fees and you just pay the ticket,

Careful if you park down there still. They just implemented a new system for catching people with unpaid parking / red light tickets.

Just park you car on the street with the windows down and keys on the seat. It'll be cheaper in the long run.

I keep a screwdriver in my truck at all times and remove my license plate when parking in NOLA.
