I’m so down
If it’s really 81 million I could probably take home 2 million after
Just put on facebook that we got free dirt and it’d all be gone in a few days

“Have y’all seen the size of the bird sanctuary…..”
someone in the know explain this to us.. I also walk the lake a lot and have watched them pump… dredge dirt. Increasing the bird sanctuary island.. as op said it is very very large now and cut a significant view of a lake from sorority row into looking like it it viewing an extended bayou..
I noticed the new “island “ appears to be cut in pieces still… so maybe they are just storing it there until they remove it..
My main question is the lake was pretty much dry in summer.. I mean mud cracks etc.. why didn’t they run a few bulldozer in then or a fleet of bobcats and clear it out asap?

I heard it will be complete just in time for the unveiling of the Burrow statue

We have a friend who bought a house on the Lakes and spent an extraordinary amount of money upgrading and decorating every inch. He used to give me shite about our house on the Diversion being on a drainage ditch. Oh, how the sewage pond tides have shifted.
