that's a bit harsh. Her sister made an unwise decision, but it's not bitch bad.

A savvy sorority would have snatched ber up. Imagine all the good publicity they'd get.

How did she even get into college? What higher learning can a person with down syndrome achieve?

She's apparently a student as part of some special program for people with disabilities. Why wouldn't she get a bid? A conscientious organization would have found some way to get her involved. Just goes to show that Sorority and Fraternity people tend to be self important assholes like I've always tended to think.

They’re social groups, you moron.

So she won't be able to buy friends?

This is a blessing in disguise.

Im not saying Im sexually attracted to her but she really is the most attractive girl with Down Syndrome that Ive ever seen.

I cant believe some sorority wouldnt accept her. These Down syndrome people are usually very nice, a lot of fun and wouldnt have required a ton of effort. Plus, it would have been great for PR. Its not like she would have moved into the house.

With the adaptive technology we have now, ot pt speech therapy and what we know about DS, autism, ID, many more young adults with these conditions are going to college and are transitioning to independent living.

Not exactly related to your post or the thread, but it reminded me of a video I saw on facebook a few weeks ago.

Autistic kid hits 6 3-pointers in last 3 minutes of the game

(sorry if this video is germans, new to me and thought it was awesome)
