Oneworld is a trash alliance littered with huge fuel surcharges on BA, etc. Kirby pulled screens from single aisle plane seatbacks. United has done some dumb shite after the Continental merger (moving HQ to Chicago instead of bolstering Houston,) but there is no way, none, that it happens. He may have been hitting a weed filled vape.

DOJ, of any sort, will never allow one airline to have two hubs in Texas, let alone all the other fallout at LGA/EWR/JFK, etc.

There is no way this would be allowed from a regulations standpoint

Status/FF programs are all pretty weak now.

I just book best available and accumulate Chase points. I'm not flying through your hub to get shitty points. I value my time more than that.

Their major shareholders are both vanguard, BlackRock, etc. I suspect this will happen. They will eventually own everything because they own our politicians.

Republican controlled DOJ in theory is more business friendly and less likely to sue than the Biden DOJ.

The Trump DOJ might not have gotten fired up about JetBlue and Spirit but they can't avoid stepping in on a United/American merger. They would end up at about 40% of the domestic market.
