UNH profit margin in the last 4 quarters is 6%.
6% is 90 billion. I think a few more decisions favorable to patient health could be considered.

Considering the cost of operating expenses, overhead, etc, the cost to the average consumer is way higher than 6%, for very questionable value.
There is more fraud in Medicare and Medicaid than in insurer profits. And not all of UHC’s revenue are from insurance.

Why? How often do you think claims are denied?

UHC is Medicare and Medicaid. They do those plans too.

That margin is leaving out what may be massively bloated upper management and C-suite compensation structure.
He made approximately $55 million in compensation past year.
They had 370 Billion in revenue last year. If the CEO works for free, does that 55 million move the needle on anything?

Well say he only takes 25 million instead. That's about 500 more kidney transplants they could have approved.

It's actually 22.26 billion. It's ok to make your point without lying about it. Lying about it doesn't help your cause.

If, and that's a big if, it's related to a denied claim, I bet if you could ask him right now if he would take a little less compensation and approve that claim, he would gladly do so.

No one is lying. I saw 90 billion somewhere, but have since seen the 22 billion as well.

Bingo. They fleece American taxpayers under the auspices of Medicare Advantage. Worst of both worlds.

Plenty of CEOs of all sorts of companies, especially insurance have security. Immelt when he was at GE couldn’t even exit a car unless the car was in a cleared garage.

Capitalism has improved the standard of living of more people than anything else in history. That's a fact. But I also see which way the wind's blowing. Trump has ridden the wave of discontent with US institutions, including economic institutions. But this is much bigger than him and will be here after he has left the scene. The corporations and billionaire class had better get busy and rein in their own excesses or someone else will do it for them. And they won't like the result.

If the SS isn't 100% foolproof at VIP protection, neither are a bunch of rent a cops, which is what most of these private security types are. The pool of former Tier 1 operators willing to babysit some CEO is pretty small.

For at least one person

True… but I’m referring to Original Medicare. Original Medicare just pays the claim without question. That’s why doctors prefer it.
The opioid crisis was fueled, in part, by doctors filling prescriptions that didn’t require a P.A.
So do we want a blank check for healthcare?!?

They process the most claims so it makes sense. They are the largest health insurer after all.

Checking to see If the OT sleuths have solved this one yet. Any leads? Who's gonna volunteer to spray paint the culprit's curb this time?
