People that are getting tested the most are Government Employees and Teachers that want two weeks paid to stream Netflix.

Spike in tests is because their Christmas vacation is over and they don’t want to work.

Why get tested?

I’m unvaxxed but I have pretty good symptoms today that have been building for a few days. I’m going to get tested because a positive test would let me not have to test weekly at school because I’m unvaccinated for 90 days. I’m hoping I have it to get out of the dumbass testing requirement but I need a test to confirm it.

same as they always have with the common cold and flu, of which Covid is no different.

I'd like to know the last time the common cold and flu killed 855k Americans in two years.

I have two kids in daycare. When a kid in the class tests positive, the whole class is shut down for 10 days. Kids can come back to school on day 11 if they get a negative test, otherwise they have to wait 14 days.

Here's the thing. Local peds don't want to test asymptomatic kids due to a shortage in tests.

Here's the other thing. The kid that tested positive can return to the class after 10 days regardless.

So kids who don't have covid are kept out of class longer than kids who have covid and caused the class to shut down in the first place.

It's all a fricking clown show.

The new vegans.

Know how to tell if someone is a vegan? Don't worry, they'll tell you.

I’m telling you why I would get tested. Which is the subject of the thread.

Right, vaxxed and boosted mask wearers definitely don't let you know about their beliefs at all

Really?

You're in TN, right?

Our daycare in TN sent out an e-mail recently saying there is no longer any mandatory quarantining for close contact. Our son was in close contact with a kid who tested positive earlier this week and we sent him right back the next day. It looked like most of the class was back the next day. He's already had COVID, so I'm really not worried about it, but you should question those rules. I don't think it's the case anymore.

Hamilton county.

I feel like it's different rules every fricking month. Last week was the 6th time my kids class has closed for quarantine.

No symptoms no test. They are using a symptomatic testing to continue the tyranny

A skeptic.

I also remember a time where H1N1 actually killed kids but nothing was done. Or a time where there were 36 million cases of the flu a year rather than 1893 cases. I also remember where an average 7700 Americans died every day of the standard illnesses as opposed to the 7700 a day from the Rona.

It was a state policy... what's your e-mail, I can forward it to you.

The kid who brought it to my 5 year old's class tested positive the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The next Tuesday while at home since my kid has to quarantine, I watch a video of his class at school that day and I see the kid who gave it to everyone already back in a week, while my 3 year old who hadn't tested positive yet would still have another week of quarantine. Wtf?

Amazing how that is. Carrying on should have been done two years ago when this stupidity started. fricking devastating effect on the mental health of kids and so many more "unintended" consequences of failed fricking policies.

I’m thinking only to the extent it traumatized their parents, or ruined their day to day life. Most of us took in stride and our kids were minimally affected.
