It's not that he used the word you dolt, it's the context be used it in during what should have been a professional setting.

Do you want the CEO of a company you invest in to go up on stage at a meeting and say how their bottom line is getting raped this quarter? Or a principal during a pep rally to say something like "let's rape our rivals"

Its not a big deal if you said it while sitting around joking with your boys, but there's some shite you don't say in a professional setting that should be disciplined if you do,

Then his boss shouldve just told him not to say it again. he should not have been suspended for a legit use of a word.

Only an idiot would think the person is literally talking about sexually assault in either of these scenarios. How would you even rape a "bottom line"?

The most absurd part is that I bet he could have used the word "killed" and there wouldn't be a word said about it.

So he used a word in the correct manner by definition, but because it's not "professional" he should be suspended? Is that what you're saying?

Ridiculous.

Also to be banned:

There is an illegal touching penalty

quote:

1) A forward pass is caught by an illegible receiver such as an offensive lineman. 2) On a forward pass, the receiver steps out of bounds and doesn't re-establish himself in bounds before catching the pass. 3) On special teams, when a player from the kicking team touches the ball prior to it travelling 10 yards.

A football coach saying his player got "raped" isn't a legit use of the word unless the player literally got raped

I'd like to hear a coach say "we really got Bill Cosby'd on that call"

Yes, he literally got raped. Words have different definitions.

You have to understand the context in which he is using the word. For example if I were to say "BowlJackson is getting raped on this message board for making stupid comments", nobody would think she was literally getting assaulted.

As has been pointed out numerous times, words tend to have more than one meaning.

Are you still arguing it wasn't used correctly?
