I personally hope they throw the president in a jail and give him a trial like they say. If they find him and kill him immediately, the water might start to boil over the pot...

And here we go...

quote:

Ex- Adviser Putin threatened that Russia will take forceful intervention in the events in Ukraine in case "wrong" (with their current view) detention Yanukovych According to the ex - adviser to Putin, Yanukovych held that detention under the law , because otherwise in the Russian Federation may have a reason to spend the forceful intervention If there is a violation , the Russian authorities will be able to say that these decisions are illegal , that the new government in Kiev is illegitimate and that the Russian government and Russian troops serve as a tool to protect the peace and security of Russian citizens on the territory of Ukraine. This will provide a legal pretext for armed intervention in Ukrainian affairs"

If Russia troops send military action into there, the USA and Europe will respond... And what happens after that response, whatever it may be, could add a major chapter into the world's history books.

Yes. We would. I'm not saying we would send troops. But Europe and the US would sanction and maybe even give supplies to the new Ukraine government. Russia could very well respond with cutting that oil route, even though that would hurt Russia economically too, just to piss some people off.

That being said. I'm not saying Russia will send troops. I will say that USA won't let them rebuild the Soviet. Them taking over the Ukraine could very well start that movement by Russia even if to a smaller degree.

You're being paranoid. The Ukrainians would violently resist such a move by Russia. And if you're not saying troops would be used, how would Russia "take over" Ukraine? Strong words?

Yea, wanna say someone in here posted a map where the Ukraine is divided by southeast and northwest I wanna say with the NW identifying as more nationalistic and the SE being inherently Russian sympathizing as well as culture. They used South Ossettia to go into Georgia in 2008 so I don't think it's out of the realm of possibilities for them to go in.

But I disagree that the EU and especially the US does anything other than condemn it.

Sorry. Bad choice of words for me. The I'm not saying Russia will send troops part was in response to the article about them threaten to get involved. I guess in my head, I was thinking I was being clear that I think they are just BSing like North Korea always does.

The rest of that was "what if" they did go in there. And that's why I said I don't think the rest of the world would sit back and allow Russia to go in and do as they please.

Bad choice of wording and Assuming on my part.

Do you see us doing this? I don't see that. We take every opportunity to criticize Russia publicly, as they do us. If we got involved with a revolt in Quebec, Russia would be the first to try and humiliate us publicly.

bullshite posturing. It's what Putin does best. There's no way Russia is going to invade Ukraine. They would tear each other apart. I just don't believe it.
