It's constant in all the classes I've taken. So, muh balloon and muh feather.

I really don't give a shite. After what I've seen the last 6 years I don't put it past the filthy elite in DC to do anything.

It’s technically a constant…in a vacuum. But in an atmosphere, air resistance changes things drastically.

Drop a baseball and feather simultaneously from the same height in a real life scenario (ie, on planet Earth and not in an artificial vacuum chamber) and the baseball hits the ground first.

Exactly. But chunks of concrete and steel would be immune to atmospheric resistance at the height of WTC7.

IF NOT immune then negligible.

If I shoot a gun and drop a bullet at the same time of the height of the barrel they would hit the ground at the same time.

Next you will ask me which direction the wind was blowing and were there trees in the way.

You mean Jet-A (aka Kerosene) that burns at 446 degrees F can't lava melt through carbon steel beams that flash at 2600F???

Wood burns at 400-500 deg F and during the Bronze age it was used to melt bronze at close to 1700 deg F....

Which is why the WTC were built of bronze.

Air of jet fuel fire is 1800°f.

No fire is 500° come on. Maybe sarcasm.

i was just being a turd but even in a vacuum the acceleration is slightly greater at the poles than near the equator, with regional anomalies due to different elevations/ densities underground etc.

you'll get slightly lower g values over a salt dome than you would bedrock. they actually have to take the changes in gravity into account when launching an ICBM

Most architects don't know shite about structures.

Do people actually still believe that jet fuel burns at 400-something degrees?

Not that it really matters since it’s technically factually correct that jet fuel doesn’t burn hot enough to melt carbon steel. But as anyone who has ever worked with wrought iron can tell you, you don’t have to liquify metal to make it malleable.

More like the guy that illustrated the med school text books calling himself a doctor.

The temperature is determined by the fuel air (O2) ratio. Too rich it will burn cold. Too lean it might not burn at all. Just right it can burn at 1800 F.

I guess the cross winds at the top of the towers provide the right amount of O2.
