How long have those people been driving, and where are these Uber rides located?

Most of them had been driving for Uber for less than 1 year. San Fran, Chicago, and DC.

Uber wants everything cashless to discourage robberies but mainly so drivers don't use the app to just find passengers then shut it off right after a pick up then take a cash instead of pay online.

No cuz Uber can put the surge pricing on. Cabbies fares get regulated by the city so that price gouging doesn't happen. Also all the profits for Uber go out of town and don't stay in the city. It really is a lose lose situation.

And Uber cars are nicer, drivers are friendlier, space is cleaner, app is easier........

They aren't going to be able to pick up at airport though. YET

They tried to enforce this in other cities and the Uber driver would just call me and tell me he wasn't allowed to pick me up at baggage claim but if I went up one level to the normal car drop off he would pick me up. Saved me money and a headache every time.

Well it blows my mind that they're not taking them in DC and Chicago. Their rates are lower than BR.

I am pretty sure I looked it up on the Uber website after the first couple times and it stated that cash tips were not allowed. Not sure if this is still the case or if I read it wrong.

Oh, you read it right. That is the misconception that Uber needs to fix. The only people who automatically get tips are the Uber Taxi drivers, and even then the rider can set it on their account to where the don't have to automatically concede a tip to those drivers.

You read it wrong. It says tipping is not required. When is tipping ever "required"?

I always offer a tip and I would say out of all the Uber rides I have taken it has been about 50/50 on if the driver takes the tip.

oh wow I feel kinda bad now. Guess I will start offering them a couple bucks. I have cash on me maybe about 5% of the time so this is one thing I always liked about Uber. It would be nice if you could tip on the app after your ride.

You are misinformed there is no way to tip on uber app. Lyft does, not uber.
