They have had uber black and suv for a while now. But ride sharing that is way cheaper x/Xl officially launches at noon.

Has anybody here ever been a driver? I'm interested to hear how that is. May be a good way to make some extra cash.

I've never had a driver ever say anything negative about it (they seem pretty open and honest about it) when I've taken UBER in BR and Chicago. They seem to be grateful for any job. Many of them were laid off or can only find part time work.

Same here. I've probably used Uber ~30 times when I was in San Fran, DC, and Chicago and every driver seems to like working for Uber. Many of them say they have other jobs and they just do this for a couple hours on nights where they don't have anything else going on. They can make $100 really quick and go home.

Does anyone try to tip their Uber drivers? I tried to every time at first but none of them would take the cash. I felt bad, especially for the ones that would get out the car and help with the bags.

Always try to tip drivers. It's way cheaper than a taxi and you would tip a taxi. If they refuse then oh well
