Will I have any issues catching an Uber in Baton Rouge at 4am on a Monday? I’ve got an early flight out of town.

TIA

Yeah but that just means your phone automatically starts searching for a ride around the time you schedule. It doesn guarantee a driver will be available.

that still doesnt really guarantee you a ride

but yes if youre going to and from the airport youll have no problems. Thats where the drivers make their real money so theres a large amount of guys that exclusively do airport runs

This is true for Uber, but with Lyft it will offer the ride to drivers in the area the second you schedule it. Scheduled rides usually get taken very quickly.

Makes sense, less likely having to deal with obnoxious drunk people as well.

Uber doesn't really give the ability to exclusively do airport runs. You're allowed to set a destination twice per day (and they time out after about 50 minutes), but for airport trips you still have to be the closest driver to the passenger to get that request.

True, but they dont know where a person is going. Good guess could be made at that time though, especially since pre-scheduled ones tend to be snatched up quick once they show up.

i meant moreso in that they are overnight shift type guys. Ubers from 4am-7am are probably 95 percent airport trips

Is this true? I assumed it showed where you were and at least what area your destination was so they can decide if they want to accept or not.

Uber will not show the driver the destination until you've actually picked the rider up and started the trip. Lyft is slightly different in that the driver has to click a button to say they've arrived, and at that point the driver can see the destination.

Both apps will let the driver know if the ride is expected to take over 45 minutes, but still won't tell you where it's going.
