you’ll probably need flood insurance
isn't the ground along near the river higher? and why would ANYONE in this area NOT have flood insurance?

$350K houses have been torn down just to get a .25 acre lot.

I recently saw a house just off Whitehaven sell for $700k. It was a late 70's ranch that had been totally renovated in the last ten years. Open concept, big kitchen, etc. Dude tore it down to build a new place there. The lot was .47 acre.

I live in the area, I have a .9 acre lot that could be subdivided, my house is pretty nice, but if I ever sell the house is irrelevant, the land is what the buyer will be paying for.

Steele Blvd. is undergoing gentrification big time. The low ceiling is cause to tear down and rebuild.

It’s next to nothing except the casino and you’ll probably need flood insurance

Are you saying people in Pointe Marie will need flood insurance because its close to the Mississippi River? Got a little news for you. If the levee ever fails everything south of Highland Rd will be wiped out.
