Why couldn't they just buy a gram of laundry detergent in the French Quarter like the rest of the tourists?

Savannah is like NOLA apparently

I'm not sure they got the full NOLA experience since they weren't drug underneath a car from the French Quarter to Algiers. Yay, NOLA!

had a real sketchy dude approach me on bourbon during Mardi Gras and ask me if I liked to party. I said sure I like to party, that's why I am here. He was like "white party?"

To end the conversation, I just said "naw man, I party with whites, blacks, and even Hispanics sometimes" The blank stare I got was priceless.

While technically, yes Algiers is in New Orleans, I still associate it with the west bank.

The only time I've ever been approached to buy drugs that I can recall was in a nightclub in Manhattan. I was dressed up in a suit and a russian guy in a suit stopped me and said "hey my friend is there anything I can get you? You want some molly to get the night rolling?"

I was kind of stunned and bit drunk, and I almost didn't know what to say. So I said "Oh no man I quit. I've been clean a few years now." I've never done any of that stuff in my life.

Guy said "Oh man that's great, I am too I just do this for a living" in his russian accent. We sat there and chatted for a second. I didn't know what to do haha.

I saw a bunch of Aussies at Courtyard Brewery last week. Those guys liked to party, I bet these two guys were part of that group.
