Two Pointe Coupee deputies resign after having sex in bathroom

NEW ROADS, LA (WAFB) - On July 30, two deputies with the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office met at Pointe Coupee General Hospital in New Roads and had sex in a bathroom, according to Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff Bud Torres.

Sheriff Torres says the male deputy, Chris Kimble, was working regular duty and on patrol, while the female deputy, Tiffany Brister, was working extra duty at the hospital.

“We learned about this on August 2 and they were placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an administrative internal investigation,” said Torres.

The sheriff says the two planned to meet up at the hospital and went into a bathroom.

After confronting both officers, Sheriff Torres says Brister told officials what happened. He added Brister went to the sheriff’s office on August 8 and resigned. Brister had been with the sheriff’s office about a year.

Sheriff Torres says Kimble resigned the following day on August 9. He had been with the sheriff’s office about three years.

“It’s unfortunate that this happened. It’s just a lack of discretion on both officers' part while they were on the clock serving the people. That type of behavior will not be tolerated,” said Torres.LINK
