That was the best response in the history of the Internet.

I put both sections of the seat down when I'm done. If I have to remember to put it down, she has to lift something up.

Incident one

Definitely not your fault, or her fault. Likely it's someone else's fault, like a 1% er or something. You know someone who worked really hard for what they have and don't have the courtesy to hire a butler to take care of these scenarios for you.

1. hers. there's no excuse for not verifying what you are sitting down on...

2. yours. cuz you were not alone, and needed to look or ask prior to taking any kind of action...tho I never would have thought fingers were doing that either

You do realize who you're talking to, right?

If Rex stepped on your foot, it would be your fault for having your foot where he was walking. You should be apologizing to him.

Then I hear the most terrifying scream you could ever imagine... so bad that I immediately slammed on the brakes, from instinct, and risked getting rear ended.

sorry, but that's a very girly response to fear

slamming on the brakes will not cure everything

reminds me of a time when a female pulls out, right in front of me and slams on her brakes out of fear, but the numbskull doesn't think about the fact I'm gonna center punch her!!! she had time to move but froze...luckily I had the presence of mind to react properly and not hit her and avoided an accident.

and as you pointed out, was a risky move to getting rear ended

so it was more important to be right than just saying "sorry" for the sake of compromise?

Seems my wife had fallen into the commode because the seat wasn't down.

This amazes me. I don't picture your wife being skinny enough to fall through a commode, let alone being under 300lbs.

Well we can go ahead and shut this thread down.

I hate when the clear thread winner occurs on Page 1. It makes the rest of the thread a letdown.

This thread really should have ended with this response.

I mean, hell, just shut down the board for a day

Both were her fault. Who doesn't check to see where they are about to place their bare arse?

How would one even rest fingers comfortably in a small crack of the window?

One time I pushed my girlfriend off if a sidewalk playfully, and there happened to be a small hole there that no one saw and she sprained her ankle.

You because it's forseable that she might get injured by being placed off balance.
