No. First of all, I don’t tend to give trash the benefit of the doubt. Second of all, if what the captain said occurred actually did occur, the response would be to end the charter and possibly get the authorities involved. Trashy is going to be trashy though.

Cancel culture is trying to get someone fired for something unrelated to their job. Different position on political/social issues or digging up old tweets from years ago.

Someone getting fired because they acted like an arse on the job and brought a ton of negative attention to the business isn't cancel culture.

Paying for a rig you dropped overboard is standard.

Motors stay on offshore at all times. Capt rightfully fired. If the trip was bad enough prior to that incident, for that reaction, he should have called it earlier. Picture makes me think they caught 3 total fish and everyone was on edge. The captain, the person in charge, should never lose their cool with others lives in their hands.

Kinda reminds me of Special Ed in Venice.

Pretty good statement from the company. Just a good account of what happened and assigned blame to both parties..

Then spoke on how much fun everyone had together when it calmed down.

Good statement. No sugar coating and no trying to cover anything up.

The captain was horrible and incompetent. Slipping on a boat is always a possibility for anyone including the captain. Leaving the boat in running and probably in gear to head back to take hook out was a failure at best. Should have kill switch tied to him. No excuses. He is lucky customer kept his cool and didn't beat his arse.

Not familiar with off shore rigs, but if you are gonna leave the motor running throughout the charter I would think there would be a way to keep it in neutral while out on the charter. Especially with nosey kids around, surprised it was the dad that did it. He was probably pissed when he got the family charter instead of the women Swedish volley ball team.

You really are a retard. I’m not shocked that you think that rambling mess with poor grammar is a good statement from a professional outfit.
