Anyone else in this thread not think Seinfeld is even remotely funny?
Like... not even a little bit?
Only dumb people.

How can someone not find it funny? Now if you are actually referring to Jerry I would say he is the least funniest on the show.
What shows are funny?
Good question... I've always felt like I've had some deficiency, because I don't think I've ever even smiled during a Seinfeld episode.
Strangely enough, I enjoy all the other typical junk... The Office, Big Bang Theory, Family Guy, 3rd Rock From the Sun, etc...

Frasier
The best scene for this thread is the wordless scene where Miles (David Hyde Pierce) in a very obsessive-compulsive phase, takes off his pants to iron them, at Frasier's apartment, cuts himself, keeps passing out from seeing his one blood, sets the apartment on fire with the iron, all the while with Eddie watching.

I guess the answer is that you don't like unlikable characters, which the Seinfeld characters are. They are completely self-absorbed and don't care about anyone else, even each other really.
All those other shows, the characters show at least an once of humanity, whereas Seinfeld doesn't even bother to show it.
That's where it connects with a lot of people. Seinfeld actually does what you wish you could do in certain situations, and doesn't even apologize for it. There's no resolution scenes at the end.

I think you might have diagnosed me. Nailed it, really.

I think watching a Seinfeld episode and KNOWING that's the case is probably what gets me.
You win.

Klinger's "letter" from his mother telling him his father is dying. It ends up half of his family pregnant and the other half dying.

I'm with you! I never really watched Seinfeld when it was on but after Curb became my favorite show I went back and gave it a shot. For some reason I just don't find it funny and I watched like the top 10 rated episodes. I mean it's OK but nothing special IMO.
Now Arrested Development is NEVER funny IMO. That's another show people rave about but I just don't get it. I went so far as to watch every episode for the first 3 seasons just to try to see what I was missing and nothing....it is just not funny.

I'm going to cheat since the topic is TV...but the funniest movie scene I've ever seen and crack up every time I see it is The principal's office scene from Porky's

Some of the Foster Brooks stuff on the Dean Martin Show and Roast is pretty funny. Honestly I really enjoyed a lot of the old Dean Martin Roasts. I would add the Elephant bit that Tim Conway did on the Carol Burnett show as an oldie but a goodie. Some of the old Johnny Carson stuff is pretty good as well. Yeah, I know this is old stuff, it still is pretty funny.
