Trash it. Aliens will learn a lot from us thousands of years from now.
This is after they move in. We’ll be extinct.

TV's are disposable commodities these days.
By the way, from my experience with Samsung, they suck!

Where are all these disposable TVs being deposited? There has to be mass grave sites for the things.

Do tv repairmen even exist anymore?

Google or YouTube the problem and buy the boards off eBay if it's a higher end TV. $100-$200 probably covers most of them. Plug and play inside.

Samsung quality control really does seem to have gone down in recent years. I know this is just anecdotal, and all brands, big or small, have issues with electronics, but I know quite a few people that have had issues with Samsungs bought in the last few years. However, I have a 1080 dumb tv bought back in 2010 that’s still going strong.

I've used Sherwood Television and Appliance in the past. Repaired 55" Samsung for $150 that wouldn't power on.

Worked in a sports bar for a couple of years with over 40 Samsung TVs, had several of them go out at random. Our A/V company had us just buy replacements as opposed to trying to repair because the repairs cost more than the TVs themselves did

Back when TV's were semi expensive, my dad's Samsung Flat screen was acting up. Found out it was a capacitor by searching the internet and watched a video how to fix it. It was a thumb sized capacitor that I just soldered back on and it worked great for another 10 years.
FWIW, now I would rather just go pick up a $700 tv new than pour money into an already defective tv that is already old before hit hits the parkinglot at walmart.

Here's another idea.
Have them send you new parts. Sell them on Ebay and put the money towards your new set.

Samsung appliances aren't great, Samsung TVs are some of the best brands out there. I've heard that from several A/V nerds and professionals.
We have 5 Samsung TVs of all generations and sizes and haven't had a lick of trouble with a single one.

After being burned by them several times, our policy is to never own anything from Samsung.
Cut your loss and be rid of that POS.

Same. My main living room TV has been Samsung since the demise of Panasonic plasmas (RIP) and I see no reason to change. I go china with the rest of the house and honestly have never had a problem other than them being more susceptible to lighting damage.
Then again, paying $350 for a 65" Sceptre LED shipped to my door and then hanging it unprotected in a coastal environment for the last 3 years under the house and it still working fine other than losing one of 3 HDMI input ports to rust is probably a Win. Just Windex the salt spray off the screen and that bitch looks the same as when new.

I bought a 55" TCL for $300 on Amazon a couple years ago for my patio and this thing has been rained on probably 10 times and still fires right up. Unreal
(TCL 55" Class 4-Series 4K UHD HDR Smart Google TV – 55S446, 2022 Model)
ETA:
Last April - so year and a half. It's on a stand and I can just carry it inside (super light) but I always have too many cocktails on Fall Saturdays and just leave it outside overnight
