A tsunami warning was issued for the southern coast of Alaska after a 7.3 magnitude earthquake shook the area. Now a tsunami is confirmed on its way toward the coast.

This is real Alaska, not where Roger lives. Been to Seward several times. Nice town, the drive from Anchorage to Seward is great.

also haven't heard anything about "confirmed" tsunami on it's way from official resources. if somebody has that, would be great to share other than that tweet from God knows where

It was a joke. No clue where Roger lives, only know in Alaska somewhere. Just using some humor to deflect some of the despair some may be feeling.

Oh yeah. Islands around here break up the energy a bit. I think we got a one foot wave once, it was pretty unimpressive.

Roger must live above the arctic circle because his brain is frozen.

Yeah, thats some stark country..lol..

Sitka folks have a fairly coordinated tsunami evac plan. They are on the outer coast and the open ocean.

I was in a restaurant in interior AK during the 7.9 Denali quake in 2002. That was a hell of a quake. Split the earth impressively.

I'm looking for webcams.

Best so far is one at the Sand Point airport that takes a pic every 2 minutes...

Cut him some slack. This is the OT not the PT.

Don’t bring the PT to the OT / Rant.

Not to mention he is going to be our best source of info for the tsunami. Roger is the very southern part of AK.
