Has anyone heard of Crown and Caliber?
My wife has bought 4-5 watches from them and has had good luck. She won't let me help her because I am too slow and anal. The only issue she had was getting a Cartier where the bracelet was too short (gold links are EXPENSIVE) but that was her fault for not verifying total links on a used watch.

What ‘better’ service does he offer?
He charges a little more because he can due to his reputation. People looking to buy their first grey watch and asking for recommendations don't feel comfortable buying the seller on their own. If I am recommending someone to that type of buyer he is an easy choice. At least in the past he was very good about sourcing hard-to-find watches for me. I can recommend him with zero concern.
He probably isn't much help for the OP because he is looking for an older watch and will have to do his due diligence on sellers that have it available because there aren't usually a lot of them for sale at a given time. The first grey purchase is always the toughest to send the money. Each successive one gets a little easier because you know the ropes a little better and your accumulated savings makes a bad deal a little more palatable.
To the general idea of good dealers and good prices anyone that is a veteran can take advantage of the online Exchange and they have excellent sales on multiple brands including Omega and they are an AD. Oh, and they are tax-free. Any honorably discharged vet can shop the online Exchange now.

I should mention the watch the OP is looking at has the caliber 2500 in it. The a/b variants were known to be troublesome but the later c/d versions tend to be solid. Something to check if the watch is one of the earlier ones.
I much prefer the 8XXX Omega movements as they were purpose-built from the ground up as a coaxial movement and not a modified ETA, that said they command a higher price. I have 7 total 8500 and 8605 Omega movements and they have all been excellent. Note there are multiple versions of the 8500 and now the 8800/8900 movements.

I don't know all that much about the Omegas as a whole and all the movements. I've had my eye on the mentioned watch for 10 years, its time(for lack of a better word) to pull the trigger.
Since you seem to know quite a bit the aqua terra didnt always have the "co axiel" is it that much different cause the prices are and thats ok I just dont know what the escapement means and all that.

Or a premium, sometimes HUGE if the watch is hard enough to get. Patek, AP, and Rolex SS sports watches almost all carry significant premiums.
Talk among the watch YouTubers is all about the market "correction.". Most are denying it's a crash but we'll see. Right now there are lots of SeaDwellers on Chrono24 for 12k and under, many with box and papers. A month ago you couldn't find one without box and papers for less than 20. By end of summer there may be some real bargains out there.

There’s definitely a correction going on right now. Many grey dealers are sitting on inventory worth 20% less than what they paid for it. Will the correction continue? Nobody knows.

All the ATs will have a coaxial movement. I didn't look all this up so I could be a little off but the AT was released in 2002 so all of the ones from 2002 until 2008 would have the 2500 movement and from IIRC 2008 on they have the 8500 then the 8900.
As I mentioned the 2500 came in 4 variations. A/B/C/D and each successive one is better than the last and fixed issues from the previous version. A, B, and C are 2-level escapements and D is a 3-level escapement. I would try to find a D but you have to do a serial number search to determine which movement is in what watch without opening it up. The C and D versions both have a slower beat rate 25,200 vs 28,800. The lower beat rate was one of the things done to prevent the issues with the A/B versions and has continued with all the Omega coaxial movements made now. In reality, the co-axial movement doesn't mean anything in the real world because they don't really increase the service intervals like George Daniels intended, but this is for a number of reasons. It is mainly a product differentiator for Omega.

I mean damn all these extras are essentially different ways to engineer time that all work within 1 millionth of each other in time. So that stuff gets interesting in how one is better than the other.
Saying that any model in the last 20 years should have no issues for maintenance and parts needed correct?

So not to extend this thread any longer than it needs to go on but last night staying up so late watching LSU I pulled the trigger finally on the watch I wanted on chrono24 from what I can tell a pretty reputable dealer review wise.
Question is since this was my first purchase and didn't realize the dealer has to "accept" my purchase offer before I can pay and get the thing out to be shipped.
Saying all that am I on "reserve" as some watches state while he reviews the purchase offer. I'd didnt offer a different price because what he wanted is acceptable so I'm just curious is this a way they make sure I'm not a fraud either since this is a fairly expensive purchase.
I "purchased" at 1am CST and no response back for the payment still in review I guess says up to a couple days.

watchuseek.com
if they still exist was a decent forum and had a sales forum that was legit. Bought my Sinn through them. You can only sell if you've been a member for a certain amount of time. You can only buy if you have 50 or 100 plus posts on the forum.

Now if they would just make a GMT version of the diver 300
