I'm sure he's more worried about the 90% that walk across the border.

We need to resume underground nuclear testing

fill the tunnels with methane gas. Explode it and collapse the tunnels. Just like they did in Nam. Kills every motherfricker in there and scares the shite out of the next guy to try it.

Why not just make a DMZ of some sort?
Chain link fence with razor wire on the border, an identical fence a hundred yards back this side. Birds nests with national guardsmen every 500 yards. Round up all of these bloodthirsty pit bulls seized from irresponsible owners and put them in there with no food. If they make it though the fence on our side thin you have permission to open fire.
Three problems solved at once.
1. Help the economy by hiring more guardsmen
2. Chain link is cheaper than bricks
3. Find something constructive to do with problem pit bulls

I don't think you understand the cost of something like that. Mexico isn't paying for that wall. The US taxpayers will end up footing the bill.

And before any smartass spouts off about the "wrong board", this thread is for wall/tunnel enthusiasts regardless of political affiliations.

So does every idiot trying to make this ridiculous argument not find that its a good thing that in our attempt to guard our borders, we have forced mass murdering criminals to make incredibly elaborate tunnels beneath the earth?
Or realize that the fact them doing so is proving the point of people in favor of tougher borders?
I mean hur durr, how is a wall going to stop them if they can still just take a plane to the 50,000 feet and then perform HALO jump into the continental US with baloons of meth in their stomach and pounds of weed between their butt cheeks!!? Answer that that Mr. Stupid, racist Drumpf!!!

Seems like a great idea at first, but then you realize it would destabilize the wall. We cannot endanger the structural integrity of the wall, no matter how cool it would be.

The wall has nothing to do with stopping illegal immigration or keeping America safer.
It's merely a political prop (expensive) to create the illusion of safety. Same thing applies for the refugee/Muslim ban.

By all accounts any ied will blow a hole in the wall.. Then patch/repair.. Unlike a wall this trench would need little repair. Do it right the first time

Mexico will make some sort of concession in a later negotiation and Trump will spin it as a declaration of victory in his quest to get them to pay for it.

Get those tunnel rat guys from Vietnam. They'd probably even work for free.
Posted on 1/26/17 at 2:30 pm to meauxjeaux2
No one tunnels under The Wall in GoT. Just do whatever it is they did back then.

It's not. The wall would be a complete waste of money. Whether you support it being built or not, the reality is.. It's not going to stop people, who come into the country illegally, from the south of the border.
They come here because the opportunity to work is available. They are willing to do the work Americans are not willing to do and they make more money doing so than they would ever make in Mexico.
And if these workers were not available, businesses who hire them would lack the work force they need. People say "they come here and take away jobs from Americans". That's bullshite..The reason businesses have to hire them is because Americans are not willing to do the type of work for the amount they are paying.
Either way, Trump is just trying to show that he is "sticking to his word" when in reality, he knows congress isn't going to pass for it to be funded. That way he can say "I did everything in my power to do what I promised, but congress is stopping me".

I heard today, that Mexico taxes them 15% for every dollar that is wired from US workers to mexico.
Thats millions of dollars they get, thanks to us hiring them over here from this tax.
Well, let US tax them 20 %, when they wire there fricking money back to mexico.
Walla, The Great Wall is paid for.
