Well as long as the LSU fans are OK.

How do you get hit by a train though?

I honestly never got this.
The only time I crossed a crossing with the lights on and guards down is when on Central Ave a few weeks ago at the CN yard an engine was near the crossing with a guy on the front waving the cars through, I was still scared to cross.
On those back woods crossings with no lights I always stop. Just not worth it.

I know they go much faster outside of the city limits so I definitely look. I guess some people just take chances and lose. I've seen people go around the crossing arms plenty of times.

And the pain is just beginning for alabama.

In the heat of the day down in Mobile, Alabama
Working on the rail with a steel drivin' hammer...
engineer blowing the whistle long and on,
can't stop a train, you got to let it roll on
Prayers for the deceased tho.

I wonder if there's been a thread about this on the OT today...

I've had to do this when a stopped train was close enough to the signal to make the arms go down.
I still wasn't comfortable at all doing it.
I'd imagine listening to loud music and just generally not paying attention leads to a good bit of these.

I've crossed that intersection on my way to buy drugs before. Crazy.

This could have been a lot worse. Seems like a big truck could easily derail the train.
