I have been feuding with my neighbor for four years, but we live a few blocks away

Has gotten very heated over the past two weeks. She has called the cops on me three times for things that aren't illegal. I know she doesn't have a gun though. She would've tried to shoot me by now

Big Lee caused the neighbor to live through years of fear and deep psychological anguish and he knew at some point he'd have to defend for his life. He knew big Lee and his celebrity status would win the day over him, so he was FORCED into desperate measures.

Hee knew someone accused of rape, consistent acts of violence on women and even ran over a woman with his car, he knew that it could be dangerous for him.

Big Lee proved he could hate someone and shoot things at those he hates and big Lee showed a clear history of violence.

Big Lee has probably been torturing the neighbor for years, the neighbor was just too afraid to speak out against such a famed and well connected local celebrity.

If it’s the same elderly neighbor I’m thinking of, I considered buying his house in 2015. He wanted too much for it.

But I showed up in his driveway by myself to take a look at the place and he came out with a gun.

Went back weeks later with a realtor and talked with him about it. He said “I bet that’s a mistake you won’t make again.”

Let us know what it's like being called as a witness at a murder trial.

So the shooting is justified? I don't think so boss

I grew up around guns, carry most of the time, and shooting someone because they sprayed me with a hose is not what I'd call justified. I wouldn't even think of grabbing my gun. I wouldn't even reach for it. Probably would've beat his arse, but definitely wouldn't have shot him.

Old, tortured man or not, it isn't justified. He's getting locked up. He made the decision to grab his gun, walk into the situation, and pull the trigger. It's that simple. He did not drive away in the truck he was already sitting in

Then his son tears down the "obnoxious" house and builds one twice it's size.

Neighbors bitched about traffic at Christmas, so Al hired cops. They bitched about trash, so Al had guys clean up each night. They bitched about people pissing, so Al put out porta-potties (that the neighbors then bitched about). There were some miserable bastards living on Folse and Alphonse who fricked it up for everyone. I guess some are still there.

I grew up a few blocks away. Traffic at Transcontinental and Avron was a mess before Al started his display. The Swans used to have a big Christmas display in the big white one story on the SW corner. It did get much worse when Copeland started his light show, but there were ways to avoid most of the traffic for most neighbors. Admittedly, the people on Al's block got the worst of it.

After Al died, the Copelands tried to donate the land to the parish to build a pocket park and the neighbors bitched about that too. I hope Al Jr builds as high and wide as zoning permits and puts a statue of Al in the front yard.

Yep, that pegs the trashy meter.

Everyone in Metry needs to put RIP BIG LEE across their back window and it might break.

Why would either of them put up with that shite for 10 years?

Was there some sort of contest to see who moves away first?

The old man probably couldn't sell his house. He had 8 or 10 lanes of freeway on one side and Big Lee's yard full of shite on the other.

The guy was a jerk, but don’t exaggerate the facts. What “consistent acts of violence on women” are you referring to?
He never “ran over a woman with his car” either. He deliberately backed his Tow Truck into a woman’s car. Big difference.

Typical second amendment clutching Trump supporter. And you wonder why we need gun control in this country

But god forbid a white man get shot in his front year in Metairie

He seems to have been a bully and assaulted his neighbor. I get it that he was a fixture and pseudo-famous, but it appears he was a giant pimple on the arse of society. Today he got popped. No fricks given.

He was an a-hole so what? He didn’t deserve to get murdered cause he wet his neighbor. Should have called the cops and Lee would have gone to jail.

Correct. And then Lee would bail out and continue fricking with the old man. Shooting Lee was probably much more satisfying.
