the pub crawl I’m going to Saturday in Nola should be good to go?
The only rain will be the usual rain of bullets.

On second thought, 4-5" of rain and a stiff breeze may be the best personal defense a person could have for a pub crawl in that area.

They're putting out a cone for a "potential" tropical cyclone? Is that new?

BREAKING: Louisiana is back in the cone and some areas are under a Tropical Storm Warning. The system is called Potential Tropical Cyclone 3 (PTC 3) because it hasn’t formed into a depression or storm yet but it will bring impacts soon. This allows the NHC to issue warnings and get a track out. It is forecast to become Tropical Storm Claudette by Friday. Main impacts will be from heavy rain, but we’ll also see gusty winds at times, coastal flooding with higher tides of 2-3 feet and isolated tornadoes. Impacts start Friday and last into Saturday. Further east the storm goes less rain SE LA. Stay tuned. See Less
