We had a 56 page thread of yankees complaining about construction companies cutting down trees and the effect on the climate ie global warming. I resisted the urge to point out that if they'd go back to where they came from all the construction wouldn't be necessary. Instead, I tried to convince people to stop putting chlorine in their pools since algae is a secret weapon against climate change.
That was apparently a bannable offense.

I created a fake account and trolled for a while until I got banned. One day my wife came in and told me she had to ban someone in the nextdoor app because people were complaining. I didn't know she somehow got to be the admin for our subdivision's page, and she didn't know it was me. 
She still hasn't unbanned me.

Our neighborhood in NYC has one. I get on just to see WTF people are whining about every week.

I have posted this before but its too funny not to post again.
We had these terrible speed bumps put in because teenagers were speeding down the road. The school buses were hitting these things at about 45 mph at first because they didn't know they were there and you could see those kids bouncing around in that bus like pin balls
Then the sane people in neighborhood had those speed bumps taken up because they didn't even get permission to have them put in and they were absolute hell on everyone's vehicles. Well since they couldn't have speed bumps they got a cop to sit at the stop sign and pull people over.
One day a stay at home mom left her garage door open and her door to the house open and the cop went to investigate bc it looked like a robbery. He walks in and the lady is in there watching tv and forgot to close the doors. She freaks the frick out at this misunderstanding and starts posting on the facebook group saying things like "IS HE EVEN A COP?'
Moral of the story is, you can't make these people happy no matter what.

I have stop posting or replying to anything on my nextdoor accts. It makes me not want to leave the house given the people I live among. It's like a miniTwitter Virtue signal cesspool. I used to report political posts but decided I was wasting my time.
My last reply was a couple years ago, to a woman who said she reported a "hate crime" because someone put a little sticker in the middle of her campaign yard sign, and the SPLC had labeled them a hate group (verified this was BS and even if not, oh the terror).
