My thought as well. To do that to your family is just unfathomable to me.

But I'm also not understanding how all three hung around to get murdered. Surely the first he went after would have made noise, and did the other two try to stop him, not hear/know? They were all old enough to be able to run.

They had planned to leave tomorrow to seek inpatient help. The 18 year old would have graduated yesterday and had his party today

I wonder if the brothers were out Friday night at other parties and the mom was already dead

You would think someone would’ve gotten out being they were all able bodied.

Idaho murders were similar.

I have been in some dark fricking places, and to be honest, the though of my kids is what usually pulls me back from the ledge. I can't even fathom the place you have to be in mentally to decide to take your kids out.

Mental health is real people, remember that as you go through your day and the people you interact with. At least one person is fighting a battle you don't know about. Sometimes a small smile or a Hello can make a difference.

Damn he looks like a pretty normal guy too.

And stabbing yourself to death is a brutal way to choose as far as suicide methods

Sounds like grandpa found all the victims Saturday morning in their beds. What a horrible outcome. Reading the Facebook page about his mental health issues is… rough. Bailey was an excellent wife. She was willing to do anything to save her husband, and in the end was unable to save her kids.

I heard about this from people that I know that attend the same church as that family. The grandfather found at least the mom and two sons dead in their perspective beds. Seems like the dad slit the throats of each one by one so there wasn’t much noise to wake the others. Not sure where the dad was when he was found. But I was told that the dad had attempted suicide at least 4 times. Once he crashed his vehicle head on into a big commercial truck. Also, the wife recently woke up to see her husband standing over her with a knife in his hand while she was in bed. His mental health was so bad that he even had tried some sort of electric shock therapy. The High School graduation was being held that Saturday as well so the decision was made to go ahead and not cancel. It must have been an awful experience for the friends and families attending the graduation. Very sad all the way around.
