Yes, somewhat. It is actually right near (or in) Boys Town.

The architecture boat tour is one thing that stood out most to me. You should definitely do this.
Other than that, go to Portillo's for lunch and get an italian beef, cheese fries, and chocolate cake shake. I may have just been starving at the time but it was heavenly.

How is the L in Chicago - best method of transportation?
If you're gonna take the L, avoid the red line. It generally smells like pee and is infiltrated by nasty hobos. Also it's underground so you don't actually see much of the city. Take the actually elevated trains and see the sights while you ride between destinations.
Standard Bar & Grill is the LSU bar, fyi.
You've gotten some great recs so far, but here are a few of mine:
Big Star (tacos)
Fig & Olive (brunch)
Signature Lounge at the Hancock (96th floor, awesome views)
3 Dots & a Dash (named one of the 50 best bars in the world)
Au Cheval (voted best burger in America)
Zebra Lounge (piano bar)
Old Crow & Sluggers are good Wrigleyville bars to hit before a Cubs game
Don't leave Chicago without doing an architecture boat tour

Yes, and ironically enough, if you're single and want to see some of the hottest women in Chicago, it's definitely a place to be. I wouldn't go there without a gay friend or two, though.

Have you made reservations anywhere yet? Don't forget that WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE WITHIN THE NEXT 32 HOURS.

Are we all going to die or is this going to be like a situation in The Leftovers (outstanding show, FYI)?

Depends on where you are and where you are going. The rail lines are actually pretty good and priced well. I live in South Bend, IN and go to 4 or 5 Cubs games a year. I can literally take the Southshore from here to Chicago, then take the rail system to right outside the stadium. If you are willing to walk a little bit, you can survive without a vehicle.

Watch the video I linked! Everything is detailed in there! P&P (pray and prepare)

I had a steak at Chicago Chop House and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Its usually voted as a topsteakhouse in Chicago

Just north of the river on state street to Wrigley.
To and from the airport.

Blue line connects to O'Hare. You can take that to Addison and bus to Wrigley, or take blue line to the loop and then take the red line up to Addison where you are literally one block from Wrigley. Here's a map to the 'L' that can help you if you want to strictly use that. The CTA bus system is also good in that area if you want to use that in addition to the rail line.
