A hat? No. A shirt? No.

A full matching sweat suit? Yes.

This is what I was referring to. The OP is a misrepresentation of the message I was trying to convey.

But the whole family of people traveling through ATL in their Seahawks jerseys is ok and not trashy?

I bet you're one of those metro guys who goes to football games in 90 degree weather dressed in a button down, jeans, boots and aviators.

That's actually more of a southern/Texas thing.

Instead, his region is king of wearing bright t shirts, cargo shorts and spiking your hair up and wearing sweatbands on gamedays.

But a polo at the airport, well, don't let the upper crust patrons at PDX Sky Club catch you like that.

This is the dumbest statement Ive read on the OT in awhile.

Not surprising from a UGA supporter

80% of my t shirts are purple and gold. I pack them all for vacation because I enjoy the geaux Tigers that I get from random people.

Is acting like a passive aggressive try hard twat a PNW cultural thing?

Have a friend that just moved out to Seattle and the way he describes it acting like a passive aggressive try hard with shite that dont stink is the exact way most of them act.

"HEY GUYS I DONT LIVE IN THE SOUTH ANYMORE" is the entire point of your thread.

Don't say dumb things like "affluent people here don't do the things you guys do" and then pretend you're seeking information.

Leaving the south is the best decision I ever made; and a ton of southern people are moving here. I'm not saying I'm above any culture because I'm not, but I fit in better here. The mountains were calling.

But don't get me wrong, I will never forget my heritage, but I likely won't move back.

And who said anything about affluence?

This may have been addressed on pages 2 or 3, but why does it matter if it's football season or not?

I've been out of school 20 years and I'll still wear an AU tshirt when traveling.

YES, it is very OT trashy. No need to wear your LSU Columbia fishing shirt and camo hat when vacationing in midtown Manhattan. It's like these people don't own nice close without LSU on it. We get it, you LOVE LSU and want everyone to know how big you are into sports. But, let's try to be a little more sophisticated and leave the SEC gear at home.

I get up every morning and paint my face crimson and white just like the next guy. If that makes me trashy well then call me kid rock...
