Travel ball spin-off: Is BREC still around?

Growing up, I remember all kids played summer ball with BREC. I also played American Legion at Drillers Diamonds.
I know Drillers is a thing of the past now but is Legion ball still around? Or BREC? The fairgrounds fields look nicer now than they used to but nobody is ever out there.

The shitty, scam system of travel ball has essentially erased city leagues.

I think BREC is still going on, I see kids at Forrest Park playing. But to scruff's point, travel ball has ruined the system in place for little league. It has become a status symbol. That's right, travel ball is the Yeti ice chest of little league sports.

The worst part about those travel ball parents though is that most of their kids hate doing it.
Thankfully, Scruffy's old man hated travel ball as much as Scruffy did and we stuck with the city league.

Man, I hope the BREC league is still going on. That was a blast playing as a kid. It was fun and a for fun league. It helped that there were only a hand full of decent players in the league.
