While your kid, with his normal first name, was roping his mule and playing fortnite.

The number of wristbands he wears is proportionate to the level of douche bag he is

This ring crap may be the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen happen to little league ball. Things must be made of foil.

ETA: for a one day tournament at that

One of my happiest days was when my 11 year old grandson told me he was sick of travel ball. I hooked up the boat and we went fishing..... happy happy day

Congratulations, your son won a cheap ring that will be forgotten in a matter of months. On top of that, he will be on another team next year at this time. Travel ball, the scourge of youth athletics. Hopefully that ring makes you feel better about the thousands of dollars you've spent on BS tournament fees.

We’re in a 12U tournament this weekend. Last Wednesday my son tested positive for covid, a little under the weather but nothing major.

Knowing that he wouldn’t be able to play this weekend if we told his coach about the test, my son asked me if we could just keep it quiet so he could play.

I’ve never been so proud in my life, what an awesome and dedicated young man I have.

And BTW, so far this weekend he’s hitting .572 from the plate!

Friend,

Please accept my congratulations as well as share them with your entire family. I do hope you all formed this weekend memories to last a lifetime. We still have some of the trophies from my middle school volleyball career. They are displayed in the hall and are quite the conversation starter for newcomers to our house. Perhaps in 25 years that ring will be the same for your talented son.

Would it be too intrusive to ask how the tournament fits the champions for their rings? Do they have a jeweler on site fitting and doing alterations on rings or do they have a giant vault of variously sized rings ready for any sized fingers? What are the rings’ composition?

Yours,
TulaneLSU
