Be it genetic or mental or both, these people truly believe that they are supposed to be the opposite sex. I think we should treat them as whatever gender they think they are, but we give them way too much attention. At the end of the day, they're people and should be treated equally. That means not demeaning them, but also not giving them special treatment.
