Now they just outright dismissed the case in hopes I dont pursue legal action.
I don't believe you. Where is your proof of the dismissal or are we just supposed to take your word for it?

Just looking to see if Rummy dropped the anchor.
ETA: It appears as though he did.

He bumped an old thread. Standard practice, normally.
If you would like to see it un-anchored, then please make your case.
I will listen and provide a fair response.

I won today, just like I won last court date when they tried to dismiss and I wanted the video. You want to know why? Because I DIDNT BREAK THE LAW a-hole!

You sound like every career criminal I have known. An acquittal is different than a dismissal. If it happened then good for you but no finder of fact determined you didn't break the law, it was dismissed on what a layperson would call a technicality.

Love that you won the case. I'd think long and hard about just moving on. What I've found is that you sink your time and energy into dealing with something like this and it takes aware from all the other good things you have going on.
Just my experience as someone who waits until collection law firms get involved in trying to collect speeding camera tickets before I write them a letter threatening to sue everyone involved and leveling some FDCPA claims. I make my point, get them to drop it, and go on with life.

Can you please share a copy of said letter?

Re: File No. XXXXXXXX
Dear Sir or Madam:
I received a letter from your office on October 18, 2019 with the captioned file number. I dispute the validity of the debt referenced therein. I request verification of the debt. I request the name and address of the original creditor.
Other than sending responses to these requests contained herein and other than responding to this particular letter, I am demanding that you not contact me further in any way or form regarding this matter.
Any negative reporting to credit bureaus regarding this nonexistent debt will result in my suing your firm and the City of Baker under the FDCPA among other federal and state statutes. I have entered into no contract for services or goods with the City of Baker. This debt is not criminal or traffic in nature. I owe the City of Baker nothing.
Best Regards,
RMC
