True. Lake Charles has a lake. Two of them in fact.

I recently had a conversation with a former secretary of transportation in LA. I asked her "if you had unlimited funds and no restrictions to fix Baton Rouge traffic, how long would it take?"

She said if everything was designed and all bids were done, contractors hired etc... from breaking ground it would take 15 to 18 years!

So I asked, "what about the current scenario with limited resources and plans?"

She answered, "we likely won't even use cars anymore by that time. Thats for at least 3 generations away.

Made me even sadder driving home

Can anybody explain why 20 seems to always be backed up between Greenwood and Waskom, Texas? Are people having to slow down that much because of the difference between smooth Texas roads and rough-as-a-cob Louisiana roads?

BR will be way ahead of the carless era though.

I have seen a dark red line but the line west of BR almost looks black. That is some fricked up traffic

Google had to add some extra code to account for that

So what you're saying is Baton Rouge does drive innovation in its own way?

Nah, we're talking about Baton Rouge. We'll be 100 years into the fying car era and there will still be uninsured clunkers roaming the streets of BR.
