I got one in the mail for 56 in a 45 at the speed change in Livonia. Do I have to pay that shite? What happens if I don’t?

The one I received in Baker claimed if unpaid they'll boot the vehicle. It was $60 and not worth the hassle so I paid it. Probably just a scare tactic.

Their police chief is constantly replying to Facebook posts about that camera. They're supposedly skating by some certain legalities with the camera being there, and he's trying to justify it for "public safety". Like one of which is there has to be a sign notifying you that there's a speed camera, this is the pic he posted of the sign saying it's the right size, distance away, etc. It's laughable

If speeding is that big of a "public safety" issue there, which it isn't, the criminals need to be pulled over immediately. Not get a scam ticket 4 weeks afterwards.

I agree with you you. Looking the picture it looks it got right as it drops from 55 to 45 coming from Baton Rouge. If public safety was that big of a concern, why not put it closer to the red lights. At the speed change seems more like entrapment than protecting the public. And who’s to say that it was me driving the truck. It could’ve been my wife or I could’ve let my coworker drive since it was work related

I never paid these in Baton Rouge. Got a dozen over the past decade. Just got some hate mail and even correspondence from a law firm strongly suggesting I pay them. Nothing ever happened. Just renewed my license. Fwiw, I believe if they actually matter, I wouldn’t have been able to do that.
