Half the price of Whole Foods and just as good.

You can get the same quality product from Albertson's for about 1/4 to 10% of the price

but I know it ain't worth that shite.

Every time I have been, the place has been packed and... the wait at the register was short. Unlike most stores they have enough folks at the register to handle the crowd. Parking is my issue.

This is such an OT thread.
Im convinced the OT is a poors haven now

Trader Joes is fricking garbage minus a few things like cheese and produce. They buy subpar products and slap their name on it and people think it is great.

Some of the comments in here are comical.

All I buy there is meat, vegetables, some mini chocolate chip cookies and alcohol and it's all fine and cheap as hell.

It also helps that I live literally 60 yards away and can just walk to it.

I’ve heard their booze prices are good. Any idea if that’s true?

ETA: Nevermind. I see you covered that.

YOur cart can spill over and you’d still only spend $100 there.

I went into the one in Metairie for a few things....wound up with a cartful of stuff. Good quality product...very cheap. Everyone is nice and helpful.
On of the many impulse buys was a bag of broccoli chips. The cashier asked if I had ever had them before and I said no. She then said that she tried them last week and hated them. They were awful, she said, you may want to put these back.
I said that she might get in trouble for saying that and she said, "No way! We are encouraged to help our customers in any way possible. We dont want you buying something you wont like"

The customer service at Trader Joe’s is outstanding. Recently I was in line to check out. A young lady behind me only had 2 or 3 items, so I told the cashier to let her go ahead of me. The employee said “we like to reward people for acts of kindness” and said “your milk is on the house” and didn’t charge me for it. Small gesture but I was impressed. They come over when they see you checking out a product to tell you about it and they have even opened a package to let me try something before buying it.

This. They gave me an item(think it was a pizza iirc)for free last time I was there just because they recommended it to me at the register to try and I said I would so they sent an employee to get it for me and it was on the house. Great customer service
